Skate Dance Dream™ Founder & Executive Producer.

What makes Parker Unique? He believes it to be his endless energy, passion for all that he does, his work ethic, perseverance and the fun he can bring into any situation. He loves to share his knowledge with everyone, while continuing to learn and grow at every chance he gets. His gift is that he can inspire others and his dream is to be able to spread that enthusiasm to as many people as he can. His personal background includes a different upbringing, one that blends art and sport. That blend is the sport known as figure skating, which he began at the age of 3.

Among his highest accolades in competitive skating are, he is the only skater to ever claim US National titles at the Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice and Junior Levels. He has competed internationally for over 12 years, traveling to more than 14 countries, while claiming a bronze medal at the Junior Grand Prix Final (the best in the world under 19 years of age), claiming 6 international golds and 11 international medals in total. He has finished as high as 6th place at the Senior level at Nationals, with two short program finishes in the upper echelon of men’s skating in this country, respectively placing 3rd and 4th.

Outside of skating, he has had the opportunity to star in a commercial as Woody Allen’s stunt double back in 2002, to try to get more people to come back to New York City following the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks. He was also in the National Honor Society in high school and additionally, earned the prestigious Scholastic Honors Team award from U.S. Figure Skating for his academic achievements.

Parker has been fortunate to live the life he has and he is always looking for ways to give back to the community and really make a difference. He has been a part of the Scott Hamilton & Friends cast; Skate for Hope; Hallmark Showcase Skating Spectacular, Brooklyn Ice/Skate to Learn, Stars Stripes and Skates; Jimmy Fund, One Step Closer, Proud Nation and many more charity shows. He also produced and directed the very first charity skating show that supported the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Skate for Life, and raised $46,000 in 2 years, which he was later humbled by being the recipient of the award, Person of the Year for raising the most funds for MDA.

Parker is a coach and choreographer based in out of the Cleveland, Ohio area. He is a current member of the U.S. Figure Skating Athlete Advisory Committee (AAC) and the Basic Skills Committee.

Experiences

Director/Producer Skate for Life 2008: Directed and produced the first show in 2008 in Newington, Connecticut. Lived in Virginia at the time, coordinating this show from afar and exceeding expectations in selling out the show and raising more than $21,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Among the Star performers that performed in that show were: Emily Hughes, Olympian and 2 time National medalist and Dan Hollander, World competitor and 2 time National Medalist.

Director/Producer Skate for Life 2009: Directed and produced the second Skate for Life in Strongsville, Ohio. This show not only raised more funds, than the first show, $25,000 but also helped raise more awareness for the Muscular Dystrophy Association by having the show presented on Icenetwork.com, the leading network that presents figure skating globally. This show presented a star studded cast that included: Two time US National Champion and  three time World competitor Alissa Czisny; 6 time Canadian  National Champion, and Olympic competitor Jennifer Robinson; Olympic Ice Dance competitors and US National medalists, Melissa Gregory and Denis Petukhov; 3 time National Medalist and 3 time World competitor Tonia Kwiatkowski; World competitors and National and World Junior Champions Madison Chock and Greg Zuerlein. The star cast included over 10 National, World or Olympic skaters.

Creative Director CitySkate 2011: This show featured celebrity, 3 time US National Champion and World Bronze medalist, Johnny Weir.  Performing in the show were Brandon Mroz, US National silver medalist, Ashley Wagner 2 time US National Bronze medalist and 2 time Junior World Bronze medalist and many more.

Choreographer, Cirque on Ice 2011: When Parker was offered the chance to choreograph for this show, he jumped at the opportunity.This show is one of the most well known shows in Ohio and boasts the longest standing production in the area of 74 years and still running. He choreographed 10 numbers in total and assisted with 4 more.  One of his favorite pieces that he will always remember is Cooler Than Me by Mike Posner, in which he choreographed and performed with top 10 finalist from the Fox Show “So You Think You Can Dance” Gev Manoukian and  Logan Giulietti-Schmitt/ Lynn Kriengkrairut, 5th place at US Nationals and Senior Grand Prix competitors in Ice Dance.
