Now, the Monument artist is enjoying the benefits of his newfound popularity. The “Fancy Like” single is a top 20 hit on the Hot Country Songs chart, with its surge past 2018’s “You Broke Up With Me.” It’s also made history as Hayes’ first Billboard Top Country Digital Song Sales No. 1, while its corresponding music video has nabbed the No. 1 spot on the Hot Country Play chart.
Aside from the obvious groovy musicality of the song, its lyrics also showcase a bit of wisdom. In the song, Hayes says that when it comes to relationships, he and his daughter have learned to be careful with one another. He’s hoping that his newfound success has impacted other families in similar ways, too.
Since the OG clip went viral, other families have been using the dance to celebrate their own special moments. The trend even made its way into an Applebee’s commercial, where the restaurant chain nameddropped the song’s lyrics and reintroduced their popular Oreo shake to their menu.
