The viral dance to Walker Hayes’ ‘Fancy Like’ has taken over TikTok quicker than lightning, and it’s getting a lot of attention from celebrities.
The song has hit the Hot 100 this week and is Hayes’ second Top 20 entry, he told Billboard. He also previously topped Country Digital Song Sales.
When Hayes wrote “Fancy Like” with Cameron Bartolini, Josh Jenkins and Shane Stevens, he was working on his next EP. The track is a reminder that his family is what matters most to him, and writing it while in quarantine for the COVID-19 pandemic was a way to focus on his loved ones and enjoy time together.
After releasing “Fancy Like” in June, the video went viral and has over 20 million views and 2.5 million likes on TikTok. It even landed the country star on late night tv and got him a major endorsement deal with Applebee’s.
Since then, the “Fancy Like” dance has gone viral again and is being recreated by people all over the world. Pop stars, actors and even a pregnant country singer have all taken to social media to share their own versions of the viral dance.
Besides the original dance from Hayes and his daughter, there are tons of remakes of the “Fancy Like” dance that have been going viral on TikTok. Those include a married couple, a chiropractor who shares stretching tips and a girl who surfs the wake behind her boat while doing the “Fancy Like” dance!
